„The model I have is a stove top design and as such doesn't have a burner. I love the bottom chamber, it's very "flat" and reminds me of a Port or Whisky decanter. When I'm pouring my coffee it makes me feel like I'm imbibing a serious cup of coffee! Sad?“

„In addition to the obvious inconvenience of heating and pouring the water yourself, it is also very difficult to keep the coffee hot. You need to either pre-heat the decanter and drink the coffee immediately, keep the decanter atop an electric warmer or other heating device, or brew directly into a pre-heated insulated decanter, probably the best approach.“

CoffeeGeek - Espresso: Questions and Answers, Please help me.
„I'm happy with my Capresso EspressoPro (~$250; I got it on sale for $200). It makes good espresso using preground Lavazza or Illy with a minimal learning curve. I'm not much of a milk fan so I haven't tried much along the cap/latte side, but I have verified it makes satisfactory mochas.“

„doserless, and it was a consideration for me since my house isn't an especially high-volume operation. In fact, though, the doser is very convenient, and the MACAP sweeps it quite clean. I only grind as much as I'll use in a session (3-4 servings) and the doser works fine. I suspect that it's neater than a doserless grinder; if you don't slam the doser lever back and forth Iron Barista-style the grinds drop more or less straight down into the portafilter.“
