„I love coffee. I thought I knew a lot about it, even before I knew the words peaberry or Silvia. As long as it was hot and not too bitter I was happy. I was an unconscious newbie.“

„ Coffee snob I'm not. Besides what my wife and I like to enjoy in the mornings before going to work, I want a decent coffee (expresso, drip, or French press) to serve to my guests that compliments the dinner and or dessert. Recently, in a blind after dinner taste test my guests (one owns a Rocky) requested regular coffee (drip). Without giving any clues to what beans I had on hand I ground up some Starbucks Verona, Illy Medium Roast, and Tully's House Blend.“

„Enter the French Press/Bodum or infusion method. Coarsely ground coffee comes in direct contact with the hot water and stays in contact with the water until the moment the coffee us ready for consumption. What separates the coffee from the water at the critical moment is a steel or nylon filter or both in combination. This is a method of brewing that truly extracts every desirable component from the ground coffee including more solids.“
