CoffeeGeek - Krups Moka Brew Pressure Brewer

„One thing to realise is that we're not just talking about a typical Krups brewer here; nor are we talking about coffee maker that simply brews at the right temperatures. We're talking about a new brewing method; one that is new to North America at least. We're talking about a pressure brewing coffee system that borrows from both the auto drip world, and the moka pot world.“

Selecting a Coffee Brewing Method Selecting a Coffee Brewing Method

„The device brewing on the stove top was a comforting part of each morning. The method was fairly quick since the pot didn't hold more than 3-4 small cups of coffee but be prepared to experiment with the grind of your beans until you can determine the perfect grind to allow for the water to drip into the compartment at the proper speed. Now that I am more familiar with the correct brewing procedures, I believe the boiling water was not the best temperature for making coffee. To control this, you'll need to experiment and time the water to just before it boils and follow this guide for a good cup of coffee.“

CoffeeGeek - Villaware Coffee Makers - Jim R.'s Review

„ Machines that use only one element for warming and brewing often don't have enough juice for hitting this brew temperature.  I measured the temperature of the water coming out of the Villaware and it is 197F.  I had real hopes that this would be the case because of the dual heating elements and it is!“
