CoffeeGeek - Coffee: Machines and Brewing Methods, coffee for a crowd? (#)
„Its a dinner reception, and we will (of course) serve coffee (and tea) with cake after dinner. But the caterer's standard coffee maker is one of those huge percolator coffee urns from the party rental places, and I want to serve decent, non-percolated coffee!“

„One thing to realise is that we're not just talking about a typical Krups brewer here; nor are we talking about coffee maker that simply brews at the right temperatures. We're talking about a new brewing method; one that is new to North America at least. We're talking about a pressure brewing coffee system that borrows from both the auto drip world, and the moka pot world.“

„I guess this stems from the author's previous work, an expose on the world of Coca Cola. I wanted more details on the history of coffee from a social aspect, and the history of brewing methods, and I didn't get this. I also would have liked more in depth and European based commerce info, and didn't really get that either.“

„It does let you down in terms of being a "cappuccino machine", because of a long draw time between brewing and steaming (I do not recommend steaming first, then cycling the machine down to brew a shot - it takes almost as long, and can use half a reservoir of water in the process). But with that said, the actual steam performance of the Zaffiro was superb once the machine is heated up properly.“

„ Machines that use only one element for warming and brewing often don't have enough juice for hitting this brew temperature. I measured the temperature of the water coming out of the Villaware and it is 197F. I had real hopes that this would be the case because of the dual heating elements and it is!“
