„The only way one could make a better cup of coffee, with the "drip" or manual pour-over method, would be to forego ANY machine, and entirely DIY, thus: bring water to boil and stabilize temperature at optimum; put a "showerhead" or "watering can" sprinkler on your kettle spout; stand there and manually pour hot water in measured bursts over a SwissGold filter inside a ceramic cone affixed to the top of a vacuum insulated thermos jug or carafe. To do this well, you would have to know what you were doing...“

„This coffee machine is by far the best I have ever used. I've been through percolators (ugh-nastiest stuff in the world) drip machines, and coffee presses. Although I hold the coffee press in the highest regard (not only is it easy to brew and clean, but it makes the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted in my entire life). The vacuum brewer is such a beautiful contraption.“
