„A few years ago I worked at Peets Coffee in Berkeley, we would brew coffee in batches of around 3/4 of a pound in an open top, shower type brewer. It only happened when we brewed "Arabian Mocha-Sanani," a faint but unmistakable smell of green bud.“

„Airpot Brewers: For a self-serve location, I like to brew hot tea into airpots using an airpot brewer. This type of equipment is ideal for the operator who has minimal staff and wants to brew a variety of teas in large volume for customers to serve themselves. I usually recommend that the operator serve a full variety of individual teas, but feature two to four unique teas that customers can serve themselves.“

„As a young kid I would occasionally drink my parent's coffee. I remember it typically being brewed in any standard brewer with store bought canisters of grinds. It tasted sweet like candy because my mother would add tons of cream and sugar, and I drank it watching the Johnny Carson show.   „In North America, and possibly the rest of the world (still checking on this), the vacuum coffee brewer had its Golden Age in the 1930s and 1940s. Even in the 1950s, vacuum brewed coffee was the standard in many kitchens, and even on ships in the US Navy, where many a glass Cory lived and died. The 1960s saw the decline of this device, as fewer and fewer manufacturers made them, and by the 1970s when the auto drip took off, vacuum brewing all but died in North America.“

„It is important to make sure that the espresso brewer reaches the indicated temperature and pressure levels, and that the parts through which the brewed coffee flows to the cup are good and hot as well. It takes time to learn how to make great coffee with your espressomachine, but the effort is well worth it. Practice makes perfection. In order to make it simpler to make a good cup of espresso the industry has developed the ESE-system where the coffee is packed in small paperpods.“
