„Pick up the pf by the handle, and gently tap the pf on the cloth towel a couple of three times to settle the grounds, then pour enough of the remaining grounds from the bin, into the pf (doing the centered mountain thing) so that when the mound is leveled off, there will be no voids in the basket. Level the grounds with the top of the basket using a straight edge. The side of the Silvia spoon works great for that. Some people use their slightly bent pinkie finger to do the leveling, leaving a 'slight' depression in the center of the pf.“

„If someone orders a double shot, we more or less double the amount of grounds in the filter, effectively creating a "stronger" shot. Triple and quad shots are very difficult to do with this method as we have to pack the expresso so tight and put so much of it in the filter that it's nearly impossible to get it in and out of the brew head.“

CoffeeKid - Falling out of the SCAA, and Green Coffee in Canada
„I found them because they just started advertising on CoffeeGeek (no, I'm not mentioning them here because of that - but it is true that I have not heard of this company before they signed up as an advertising partner). I think this is going to be my new source for Fair Trade green coffee - their single pound prices okay (not great), but the five pound prices are pretty good - average of about $7 a pound or less, in Canadian dollars. Compared to US sources of green Fair Trade coffee, it's downright cheap once you factor in shipping costs.“
