CoffeeGeek - Coffee Books (all) - Mark Prince's Review (#)
„Uncommon Grounds, by Mark Pendergast is a detailed account of the world of coffee commerce, especially in the United States. Filled with details on famous yet long gone coffee barons and princes, the book is probably not of very much interest to the general public, but any serious coffee hound or coffee professional can get a lot out of this book.“

„I saw a lot of familiar faces at the reception. Mark Pendergast was there (the author of Uncommon Grounds, a novel / historical look at coffee). He told me about a new project he has going on - his new book which will be about the world of epidemic "forensic" doctors - think CSI, but for doctors and scientists who go to extremes to combat infectious diseases.“

„One thing Don did was introduce me to the writer of the excellent book Uncommon Grounds. That book is, of course, written by Mark Pendergrast, and I got a chance to talk to him a bit about the book, how much I liked it and we ended up talking about CoffeeGeek a bit. Mark was very intrigued by the site, one he hasn't seen yet, and even mentioned an offer of writing a review or two for the website, on coffee-related books.“

„The interesting thing is the coffee machine. We use double plate Bunn makers in the main office but the NC office has the Kahve coffee machine pictured below. It's pretty cool looking and appears to be of solid build quality but most interesting is the basket. Note the vertical ribs visible through the clear basket housing.“

„from now on) is one of two cup sets I own by the company - the other is the Jubilaeum set. Zig Zag was designed by Ron Anderson for FF!!, (website ) It comes in a giant metal hat box-styled container with a picture of Francis herself (Francesco Illy's forever enshrined daughter - as a side note, it seems like he is forever apologizing to her on the FF!! Website (webpage ) but it's cute nonetheless. The box is impressive, and possibly the most impressive part of this collection.“
