CoffeeGeek - Capresso CoffeeTEC - Keith B's Review

CoffeeGeek - Capresso CoffeeTEC - Keith B's Review ()

„We entertain a fair amount and as you probably already know; it’s simply impossible to serve espresso to a large crowd.  The CoffeeTec simply shines in this regard and I often find myself brewing 3 or 4 pots and refilling the milk container.  To date, four of our friends have been so enamored with our CoffeeTec that they purchased their own units.“

„I have a Brugnetti "Top" espresso machine that sometimes will not work.  The button lights on the front of the machine will not light up but the "flow" button light blinks.  I have check the connections in the machine to make sure there are no loose connections and otherwise everything seems to be working ok.“

CoffeeGeek - Engineered Perfection in Espresso CoffeeGeek - Engineered Perfection in Espresso

„After doing this method for ten years I would say it is very difficult. (Please see Measuring your brewing water temperature and Finding the ideal brewing water temperature in the Vivace archives for more information) Any mistake creates more variation in the readings, never less variation; so this test easily establishes this machine as offering the most stable brewing water temperature in the world, by a factor of almost ten.*“

CoffeeGeek - Espresso: General Discussion, Pulling perfect espresso CoffeeGeek - Espresso: General Discussion, Pulling perfect espresso

„The optimum temperature is somewhere around 92-95C or 195-203F; sour shots tell you that your brewing water is likely too cold, and bitter shots tell you that your brewing water is likely too hot. You can finesse this particular variable in your espresso ritual if you brew at the same point in the boiler cycle (e.g. time when the boiler ready light turns on, which is when the brewing water is at its hottest). Playing around with this will give you different brewing temperatures and hopefully a tastier shot.“

„I have recently purchased a Bialetti Brikka 2-cup espresso maker and was wondering if anyone has any tips for making espresso in this fashion. In particular, I am interested in finding out what type of coffee/espresso works best in this model.“

CoffeeGeek - Capresso C1000 Super Auto - Ric Sieben's Review

„I had been using an inexpensive espresso maker for a few years.  It was a pain when trying to make more than a couple latte's at a time when we had guests.  The C1000 makes multiple espresso and coffee drinks a breeze...and the flavor of the coffee is wonderful!  To date the coffee has been consistently smooth, without any bitterness.“
