„ I found reducing the amount of coffee to 1/3 of what should be used would keep the brewer from overflowing because of the clogged basket opening. Problem is the coffee is way too weak when you reduce the amount to a point it will not overflow the basket and clog the flow into the coffee pot. I tried decreasing the amount of water to 1/2 the pot size this helped make the coffee stronger but still not strong enough. I even tried one of those metal filter baskets this just aggravated the overflow problem.“

„ I have ordered a 9 gram single basket for my Silvia to see how well it works after a long thread on alt.coffee, which basically say that the extra coffee in the 9 gram basket allows a better single pull. I ordered a Brasilia 9gram basket from Crossroads Espresso, and it should be here today, according to UPS.“

„I‘d been using a £65 Krupps (toy) machine for a while, and it just basically fell to bits. The basket on the Classic weighs more than the whole Krupps machine, it‘s that solid. I tried about a dozen other machines before I bought this, and I reckon for the price it must be hard to beat.“

„at first, from the very first load of beans, the grinder would clog when grinding on its finest setting. i had to constantly poke at the burr to get it to feed at all, and it would take at least a couple of minutes just to grind enough to fill the portafilter for my barista espresso machine. [don't do this.“
