„*In the Americas, the interest in specialty coffee exists, so there is opportunity to cultivate it further. In much of Africa, you would be starting almost from ground zero, investing lots of money and years of energy to get the coffee to where it would need to be. Most of the specialty roasters in the US do not have that kind of $$ to invest. Companies like Intelligentsia and Counter Culture are small companies and are doing what they can, but coffee is a huge, international, multi-billion dollar industry that has a long way to go.“

„ Only problem is, I'm still trying to get used to pouring rosettas with this thing. Who knows, maybe I'm in one of those latte art slumps, that just happened to start on the day after I got the Alessi ; ) Hmmmm....maybe I should pick up some of that ultra-pasteurized organic milk. “

„ It also somehow intensifies it. In fact, it so intensifies it that New Orleanians who make coffee and chicory today know to use half or just a little more than half of the amount they would use for making a regular pot of pure coffee. But Café du Monde makes their café au lait as though it were regular coffee so the result is stronger than any non-espresso drink I’ve ever had. Because no one can drink it black (really, you can’t), they cut it by pouring in an equal amount of whole milk heated to 170 degrees.“

„Each box represents a type of coffee. Initially, the boxes are grouped by origin (Africa, the Americas), or by styles (Blends, Decaffeinated). The size of each box represents the item's price: smaller means less expensive; larger means more expensive. Initially, the color of each box represents the coffee's body or richness.“

„... adds 10% hazelnut flavored coffee to their house blend both to mask the taste of some lower end arabica but also to give it a unique character that folks can't quite place but many really like? I'm not a fan of their house blend but here in the Northeast it's very popular and often a good alternative. I'd be most grateful if the HeadGeek could verify this whilst so close to the DD Bigwigs.“
