„These coffees are known by the names of the districts in which they are produced, such as Sidamo, or by terms like Ethiopian Fancies or Ethiopian Estate Grown. The most famous of these coffees is Yirgacheffe, which has an unparalled fruity aroma, light and elegant body, and an almost menthol taste. This coffee is sought out by many U.S. consumers.   Kenya Kenya works diligently to assure quality in all beans that are exported.“

„For drip coffee I would suggest experimenting with Guatemalan, Costa Rican, Tanzania peaberry, Ethiopian (the Ethiopians are ALL good: Harar, Sidamo, and Yirgacheffe). Also you may like to try Sulawesi, Kenya and maybe even an exotic like Kona or Jamaican Blue Mountain (it's terribly expensive but also a unique coffee).“

„They may appear in specialty stores described either by the district in which they're produced (Sidamo, Washed Sidamo), or by terms like Ethiopian Fancies or Ethiopian Estate Grown. The most celebrated of these coffees is called Yirgacheffe or Yrgacheffe. This coffee virtually has a cult following in the United States, and for good reason. Like the best Sumatran and Yemen coffees it is rich, teasing, and mysterious on the palate, with a very long, resonant finish.“

„The commonly known Ethiopian producing regions are Harrar, which boasts an excellent premium coffee with balanced complexity; Sidamo, which produces an unusually sweet and robust coffee; Yirgacheffe, where the coffee is profoundly bright and acidic; Limu, known for coffee similar to Sidamo in cup quality; and Djimma, whose coffee is full-bodied and earthy. Of these origins, the washed coffees that are fermented are the cleanest and most desirable, although there is still a market for unwashed, sun-dried coffees.“
