„At times in history coffee has been hailed as a medicinal cure-all, and at others condemned as the devil's brew -- in the latter case usually for political or religious reasons, when coffee houses were at their height of popularity as meeting places. However, in the last half-century scientific research has established the facts about coffee, caffeine (responsible for coffee's mild stimulant effect) and our health: in moderation coffee consumption is in no way a health risk, and besides being a most pleasurable experience drinking coffee can indeed confer some health benefits. This CoSIC Web site provides an overview of the published scientific evidence on coffee, caffeine and health.“

„If you've only been drinking Toddy coffee you're limiting yourself. Each brewing process creates a different result, just as each coffee has its own unique characteristics. I suspect that your dinner guests rave about it because they've not had properly prepared and served coffee, so they don't know any better. Toddy coffee does produce a consistent, easy to consume product.“

„on the one hand you had the watery sludge put out by the Belling and on the other was this rich, powerful brew put out by the Bos machine. I was hooked and when I read "The Devil's Cup: A history of the world according to coffee" by Steward Lee Allen I was landed!! I had always thought of coffee as no more than a simple caffeine hit. I didn't realise that there was so much variety and that it could be condensed into it's purest form in espresso!“

„You don't necessarily need espresso cups if you're making lattes but I like to use them to brew the coffee into so I can easily see that I haven't brewed too much espresso from one pod.“

„Pour it into a warmed mug or coffee cup so that it will maintain its temperature as long as possible. Brewed coffee begins to lose its optimal taste moments after brewing so only brew as much coffee as will be consumed immediately. If it will be a few minutes before it will be served, the temperature should be maintained at 180 - 185 degrees Fahrenheit.  It should never be left on an electric burner for longer than 15 minutes because it will begin to develop a burned taste.“

„There is no such thing as a 'fast' coffee brewer. A good drip brewer will turn out 4 to 6 small mugs of hot coffee in about 5 to 7 minutes. Why, you ask? The ideal rate of extraction and the brewing temperature are kind of tied together.“
