„Two out of the three published prospective cohort studies showed a protective effect of coffee against the development of gallstones. A large study of college alumni in the USA was unable to show any significant association between coffee consumption and clinical gallbladder disease (8). By contrast, a publication from the Health Professionals Follow-up Study on 46,008 men diagnosed 1,081 new cases of ultrasound documented gallbladder disease and found that men who drank 4 or more cups of coffee per day were 45% less likely to develop the disease (9). Similarly, a publication from the Nurses Health Study on 80,898 women identified 7,811 cholecystectomies and found that women who drank 4 or more cups of caffeinated coffee per day were 28% less likely to have their gallbladder removed (10).“

Hawaii Coffee Association (#)

„It is House Bill 2169, and it amends existing statutes regulating coffee labeling for locally produced coffee. "This is a very important development for our industry," said Hawaii Coffee Association (HCA) President Frank Kiger. "The labeling requirements in the revised law will allow consumers to clearly distinguish a 100-percent Hawaiian Coffee from a blend that uses both Hawaiian coffee and foreign coffee," he explained. "Most of the coffee roasted and sold in Hawaii that carries Hawaii identifiers are blends using only 10 percent Hawaiian Coffee and 90 percent imported foreign coffee.“

„Logo Awareness & Recognition Logo recognition varies from country to country, but has reached its highest levels in North America and Spain, the most active advertising markets for Café de Colombia over the past few years. In the U.S., logo association ranks as high as 83%; that is 83% of the people surveyed associate the logo with coffee when they see it without any descriptive words underneath. Actual identification of the logo in the U.S. is currently at 53%, which means that 53% of those surveyed were able to properly identify the logo as the Colombian Coffee logo. Both numbers refer to a 1995 study.“
