Bulk Coffees (#)
„While it sounds complicated, the CO2 process is natural and effective. Compressed to a liquid state, Carbon Dioxide a component of the air we exhale with every breath is a natural solvent which grabs caffeine and pulls it from the bean. Because it adheres only to the caffeine and not the other elements which provide coffee with its rich flavor, CO2 decafs have more zing than any of the other decaffeinated coffees that we've tried. We hope you'll enjoy your java knowing that it's naturally decaffeinated to be 99.9% caffeine free.“

„It is no more or less a chemical than Carbon Dioxide, CO2. They are both chemicals and they both are found in nature, and decaffeinated coffee made from either can be called natural. This is not clear in the article, as the Nabob item is listed separately and CO2 is listed with chemical decaffeination. By the way, the only CO2 decaf available to specialty roasters in the US is that made by Hermsen in Germany and imported by Excelco Trading LLP, New York.“

„There is no harm in munching on the grinds, in fact some dieticians recommand munching on a bean or two to eliminate off color breath ( bad breath). Turkish coffee (also Greek, same thing) is served with the powdered coffee IN the diminutive cups. Cakes are decorated with coffee beans (notice how I spell coffee?). The filter cup is there to hold the grinds so that steam or water can pass through.“

„In all of these ventures, he displayed his peculiar, rapid-fire brilliance. Still, just about every episode in Holmes's vast chronicle seems to end with a similar dying fall: "Coleridge took a deep breath, opened his laudanum decanter, and collapsed." Crisis follows upon crisis, opium binge upon opium binge--and by the time the poet begins his massive Biographia Literaria in 1815, you wonder at the fact that he's still alive and kicking.“

„In short, suppliers of fair trade, organic, rainforest, and other coffees with a cause are advised not to hold their collective breath while waiting for those market segments—among others—to take off.“
