„Panna's tigers have increased from two or three to almost seven for every 100km2 of the reserve. This was achieved after improved park management contained the destructive annual fires and reduced livestock grazing and poaching. We also discovered the population of a standard tiger prey, the chital deer, was low compared to other prime tiger habitats, and thereafter the habitat was managed in a way to facilitate the chital population.“
