„After about an afternoon of "soaking up the rays," I found myself bored to tears, and would hop on a flight to a big city like Tokyo, which is where I ultimately got busted for counterfeiting the art work of a well known American artist named Mark Kostabi (and that landed me, the golden boy from the suburbs of New Jersey, in the slammer). But when I was really low, all I could do was lay in bed, watch television, talk on the telephone and drink Diet Coke. The constant "cycling" was driving me insane and the psychiatrists all believed that ECT would put an end to these cycles. I put my life in the hands of these silver-haired doctors.“

„They did in fact access the source codes - you bet this is an issue of great importance Steve Ballmer, Microsoft The hackers gained access to the source code, or blueprints, of Microsoft's Windows-based software, which is estimated to run on about 90% of the world's PCs. But Microsoft's president and chief executive, Steve Ballmer, insisted they had not been able to tamper with any of the company's key programs. He said: "It is clear that hackers did see some of our source code. "I can assure you that we know there has been no compromise of the integrity of the source code; that it has not been modified or tampered with in any way." Serious consequences Microsoft's abuse of its near monopoly and refusal to share its source code have been at the centre of a long-running and bitter legal battle with the US authorities.“

„Japanese scientists have used genetic modification technology to create a decaffeinated coffee plant - the first time it has been done, according to expert observers. Writing in the British journal Nature, the researchers say their GM plants contain roughly a third of the caffeine content of natural varieties. But it may be many years before engineered coffee beans are being used widely to make refreshing drinks in the world's cafes.“
