„Most of the roads in Vietnam are pretty bad and most itineraries involve flying between destinations. Despite being slow the road over Cloudy Mountain was well worth the drive with beautiful views across the lush green mountains.“

„"I saw some business opportunities for example in coffee. "Coffee was something that I wanted to improve in Vietnam and so I came back to start a coffee business." Changing attitudes After initial suspicions returning Vietnamese - or Viet Kieu - are now being accepted by many in the country. They bring money, outside ideas and an understanding of the Vietnamese way of doing things. Factors increasingly recognised by the Vietnamese government.“

„London coffee futures jumped by 5%, hitting a two-year high of $743 a tonne. But it will take a more sustained rally to bail out Vietnam's economy, which has suffered from its growing reliance on the crop. The country earned some $260m from coffee in 2001-02, just over one-third as much as it brought in four years earlier.“

„Red EyeSomeone who can 'drink' (ie, choke down) a Red Eye deserves your respect. This drink is basically a cup of coffee (already well caffeinated) with either one, two, or three espresso shots added for good measure. People that drink these are either clinically dead and need resurrection, or are writing a doctoral thesis or something equally mind-numbing. You may want to think twice before ordering this drink.“

„Our family was one of the first families to settle in Carnwadric and for me it holds many, many happy memories. It was a beautiful place in those days and our house was on Carnwadric Road at the corner of Cona Street. We had lots of green space to play and being a hop step and a jump away from "Ghandi's Wood" and the Ivy Castle we could fantasise in many ways and in many games. There were not yet any shops in Carnwadric and we had to walk across the wee bridge (just a track then) to go up to Thornliebank for all of our groceries.“
