„The stories he uses (like Willie Wonka) are cute, I suppose, but at the same time they're also pretty thin. If I were facing important life decisions I wouldn't lean on Matthew Kelly to inspire me through, though I suppose he would be just fine to chat over coffee.“

„The "new physics" of Zukav's 1979 book comprises quantum theory, particle physics, and relativity. Even as these theories age they haven't percolated all that far into the collective consciousness; they're too far removed from mundane human experience not to need introduction. The Dancing Wu Li Masters remains an engaging, accessible way to meet the most profound and mind-altering insights of 20th-century science. --Mary Ellen Curtin“

„Leafing through any one of these titles while sipping an espresso in the bookstore's coffee bar, you'll quickly figure out that repeatable, automated unit tests are a good thing, and that JUnit is the unit testing framework most often used for Java unit testing. A couple of mochachino grande's later, and you've read enough to convince you that your continued survival rests on writing these automated unit tests. Unfortunately, and before your caffeine buzz even wears off, you're struck with the realization that while you're motivated and ready to go, you're just not sure exactly how to go about writing tests for many of your J2EE components.“

„What wasn't mentioned in any review that I read is that it may be the loudest appliance on earth. The first thing I noticed, is that gunk gets caught under the rubber seal on the lid when you're blending - making the clean-up process a pain. That problem went away though, when the rubber seal split and broke off the lid. Then the little center lid in the middle of the main lid started to crack and soon it had dropped off the little notches that hold it in place.“

„Triple Sec, an ingredient that was added to the drink a few years after its conception, makes the whole thing come together. But why is it that this strange combination of spirits and soda actually tastes very similar to iced tea? We could tell you that it's because the juniper in the gin reacts with the molasses in the rum, creating a flavor that combines with the agave in the tequila that implodes with the neutral characteristics of the vodka, resulting in a chemical compound that, when looked at under a microscope, resembles the molecules found in tea leaves grown in Sri Lanka (on the south slopes, of course), but that would serve no purpose at all. The fact is, for one strange reason or another, this weird mixture of ingredients tastes like iced tea.“
