„As it turns out, we end up getting a free replacement brewing boiler out of the deal. There's corrosion where the brew groups attach to the boiler and ESI is offering free replacements to the new boiler style for any machines less than five years old. As of March or April 2003 they went to a stainless steel brew group that's welded on rather than the old nickel plated brass style that is bolted on. Bad news is there doesn't appear to be any way at present to do a Schomer mod on the new boiler style (not that I've heard of anyway) but I don't' think I could talk the owners into the mod anyway.“

„nope. every commercial heat exchanger machine i've looked at has an exchanger which has significantly larger volume than in a shot (or even double shot). so while the brew water might turn over more rapidly in a hx machine, the brew water certainly isn't "fresh".“
