„I had to place a towel, folded over under it each time I brewed, and it would be SOAKING WET after brewing. The carafe itself also leaks, and I would have to pour my cup of coffee over my kitchen sink to catch all the run-off from the carafe. Net net, I'm tired of this machine, and was VERY excited to receive a brand new, different brand coffee maker for Christmas!!--This text refers toan alternate option.“

„Pour it into a warmed mug or coffee cup so that it will maintain its temperature as long as possible. Brewed coffee begins to lose its optimal taste moments after brewing so only brew as much coffee as will be consumed immediately. If it will be a few minutes before it will be served, the temperature should be maintained at 180 - 185 degrees Fahrenheit. „If you've only been drinking Toddy coffee you're limiting yourself. Each brewing process creates a different result, just as each coffee has its own unique characteristics. I suspect that your dinner guests rave about it because they've not had properly prepared and served coffee, so they don't know any better. Toddy coffee does produce a consistent, easy to consume product.“

„Cleaning up after brewing is a matter of wiping down the steam wand and running a bit of water through the group head, then wiping it with a towel. Every so often, you can clean and descale the water lines by mixing up some Cleancaf or similar product in the reservoir then running it through the steam wand and group head. The lack of solenoid valve means you can't backflush the machine. Periodically you must remove the dispersion screen and wipe that out as well.“
