Amazon.com: Kitchen & Housewares: Farberware Classic 2-Quart Saucepan with Lid ()

„Keep in mind that because they are mostly stainless steel, with an aluminum bottom, Farberware does not heat up quite as fast as, say, hard-anodized aluminum such as Calphalon, which gourmets prefer. Stainless steel is a poor heat conductor, while aluminum is good and copper is the best. On the plus side, you can't put Calphalon in the dishwasher and Calphalon does not have true stay-cool handles, like Farberware.“

„I’ve tried them all and I’m convinced the more massive the tamper the better it does its job. All of my currnet tampers are machined stainless steel and they fit my Rancilio’s filter cup precisely.     Reg Barber Enterprises in Canada will make you a stunning custom tamper for about US$50 ppd. Reg's compact yet massive tampers are lathe-machined, highly polished stainless steel with a beautiful hardwood handle.“

CoffeeGeek - Articles: Detailed Review Feedback, Thermos Nissan Detailed Review CoffeeGeek - Articles: Detailed Review Feedback, Thermos Nissan Detailed Review

„Or a durable mug with some other kind of liner that doesn't impart the off taste of stainless or plastic but is still easy to clean? Thermos makes a beverage bottle with a glass liner, but they don't put the Nissan name on it and they sell it for eight bucks, so I'm suspicious about the durability and quality. Zojirushi bills their stainless mugs as having an "easy to clean" interior but I can't find any information about what that interior is made from. Perhaps someone out there who owns a Zojirushi can give me more info.“

„This is the only way we can do these product profiles. You know what they say: "Coffee does not grow on trees.." Of course, it grows on bushes! Gaggia Classic:Built like a tank, with composite aluminum boiler, brass group and portafilter, three-way solenoid valve and four-choices of finish, the Classic is the Coffee Experts pick for sheer staying power, brute strength and for those that desire their kitchen cafe to be anchored with this cement mixer of a machine. I find the three button Classic, like the Gaggia Baby with similar configuration, very straightforward to use 'out of the box'.“

CoffeeGeek - Capresso MT500 Coffee Brewer CoffeeGeek - Capresso MT500 Coffee Brewer

„The MT500 is, as they claim, "the only coffee maker on the market with a stainless steel lined heating element, completely eliminating any contact with aluminum. It reduces the need to decalcify dramatically". I don't know about the claim "the only coffee maker", after all, plenty of full commercial machines have all steel boiler systems (even the consumer oriented Bunns do), but this is good news for you and me as someone who might use this brewer. I think it also helps with the previous point - the heat thing.“
