I was getting my espresso shot in about 7 seconds instead of 25. In other words, it was coming out not as crema, and without much pressure, but as coffee. Second, I went to my local store, and used their professional grinder, which I set to "espresso" (the last click before "Turkish", which is the finest grind).“
