„Both the best and the worst of men's tendencies are illustrated by poopoo coffee, as I call it, or Kopi Luwak (civet coffee), as it's called in Indonesia. The civet is a mammal, apparently a variety of cat that resembles a cross between an opossum and a rhesus monkey. Where there are both civets and coffee, civets eat big red coffee berries.“

„I made up what is probably the rarest blend on the planet the other day: Jamaican Blue Mountain (Wallenford Estate), SmithFarms Peaberry Kona and Kopi Luwak. Yes, Kopi is the beans produced by Civet Cats eating coffee cherries and pooping out the remains - a lightly digested bean.“

„I put some cheap beans through it (some cheaper Colombian), and indeed, it was working. Doug and I started talking about Kopi Luwak , so I pulled out my remaining stash, grabbed 230 grams of it, and started roasting.“

„Compare to: Incomparable among Robustas, in my experience. In fact, this cup reminds me quite distinctly of the notorious Kopi Luwak when brewed in a French press. Not surprising since the Luwak is comprised largely of Robusta from the samples I have tested. It also looks much like the Luwak, which sort of makes me wonder...“
